In a surprising move and after a whirlwind ten day negotiation, Conan O’Brien has signed a deal to host a late-night talk program starting in November on cable channel TBS.  This move will push back current host George Lopez’s Lopez Tonight show to a midnight start time. (with Conan starting at 11pm)

Its shocking that the once darling of late-night, has now been regulated to cable television.  I give Conan credit for one of the funniest quotes ever (above).

This signing happened after speculation surfaced that Fox was having trouble convincing its affiliates to add O’Brien’s show.
