Oil Celebrities, Gary Coleman Death Photos and Sports
0Alex starts off the show talking about another celebrity that can be added to the list of oil savers, Troy Aikman. It started with Kevin Costner, then James Cameron, and now former Dallas Cowboys Quarterback Troy Aikman. It has to be embarrassing if you are a scientist and haven’t been approached with ideas to stop the oil. What about the guy who actually found the Titantic (Bob Ballard), and not the guy who filmed a movie about it? I heard Nolan Ryan might have some good ideas, that will last another nine-innings.

BP Oil’s Twitter Battle…with itself

If you haven’t noticed there’s a major oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico. Fighting back is an anonymous Tweeter, @BPGlobalPR, posing as a PR representative for oil disaster causer, BP Oil.
The tweets are hilarious… With over 125,000 followers, this goof has officially taken off. I know its only a consolation prize to what’s happening in the Gulf, but it definitely brings me some satisfaction that someone is messing with BP. This person is now selling BP Global shirts that have oil dripping on the BP logo…which is classic!

Former child and reality television star, Gary Coleman, passed away from a brain hemorrhage that resulted after a fall in his Utah home.
When I heard about Coleman’s death the first couple of thoughts that come to my mind.

Alright, I know the Bulimia thing is a little weird but one of my most memorable episodes of Different Strokes is when Dana Plato (is she dead?) character would overeat and then force herself to throw up. As a kid, I was shocked at this behavior. I remember sitting there and thinking, “why would she eat that cake just to throw it up?”

I’m still in the bathroom, I thought this was suppose to be heaven.
In honor of the last episode of the hit TV series Lost, I dedicate this episode to one of my favorite shows ever.

Famous heavy metal frontman Ronnie James Dio died on May 16th, 2010 after a lengthy battle with stomach cancer. As I sat down to write something about his death, I realized that I knew very little about Ronnie James Dio. I knew he had crazy long black curly hair and was the “devil horns” guy. I’ve heard countless Dio references (I’ve even made Dio jokes in the past), but I couldn’t tell you anything he’s done musically.
When I mentioned this fact to a colleague, someone standing nearby said.
“You gonna write something bad about Dio?” in a shocked, disappointed manner.
I replied, “No, but can you name a Ronnie James Dio song?”
Silence.
My point was proven!

“Hope” or “Nope” for Lebron James?
12The Boston Celtics and Cleveland Cavaliers battle in the 2010 NBA Playoffs as extended to the T-shirt world.
If you live in the greater Boston area, you’ve might have seen I Love Boston Sports! (see comments below for company info) unbelievably funny “Nope” shirt that features Lebron James in a similar fashion to Shepard Fairey’s Barack Obama “Hope” portrait from the 2008 presidential election. I saw it today in one of their shops (right).
This shirt is also in response to the Hope For Lebron shirt that came out in March in Cleveland.
This has to be one of the best parody uses of Obama’s “Hope” image. I laughed out loud when I saw this yesterday for the first time, and I went back today to take this picture because I was so impressed with the shirt!
